Charles Esche has been appointed director of the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Since 2000 he has been director of the Rooseum Center for Contemporary Art in Malmo, Sweden. He is also editor of the art journal Afterall, which he co-found with Mark Lewis in 1998 Esche assumes his just discovered post on Aug. 1.
