Debra Singer.Debra Singer, associate curator of contemporary art at the Whitney Museum for the past seven years and co-curator of the fresh Biennial, is the new executive director and chief curator of The Kitchen, an interdisciplinary nonprofit space in modern York's Chelsea district. Singer's appointment immerses the post held by former executive director Elise Bernhardt, who stepp down in May to work in succession independent projects, and the newly created position of chief curator.
